Ophelia.

The place in which you do not choose the plant, it chooses you. Upon entering through the lime green door, you feel a sense of serenity. The aroma of new earth freshly bloomed sunflowers, and lavender fills the void. The workers are so welcoming to the point you feel obligated to talk plants. In a way, the plants do most of the talking. The plants don’t literally talk but after every sentence, my eyes seem to drift to the plants. Ophelia is euphoric to the point in which I wish to live here one day.

Whilst standing in the center of the store my mind begins to wonder. I think of the very first flower to ever appear on Earth opening to receive the sweet rays of that big star we call the Sun. When this event took place, I am quite unsure of it. However, I conclude that the first flower probably did not last very long. Flowers before our time must’ve been the purest and rarest things on Earth. Hence the Earth’s conditions were not sustainable, but now- flowers are taken for granted.

Flowers have a bigger purpose in life. No, flowers are not needed for survival, that is if your definition deems them not. Flowers are essential to awakening humans. Awaken what is deeper inside of them. Romance, inspiration, and serenity. Now I stand here in this store, awaiting the approval of the plant. Once chosen, I leave this euphoric void filled with the scent of lavender and peppermint. Then suddenly back to reality. Suddenly back to the stresses of life. However, by my side, I have this plant. This plant I shall care for. This plant has enlightened me.

In the meantime, while this plant still thrives. I thrive along with it.
